HootSuite displays different social networks in tabs at the top of the dashboard. Within each tab there are different columns called streams. These streams are different view of information relevant to that social networking account.

For example, a Twitter tab could have the following streams:

• Live feed - updates from all of your followers
• Sent tweets - everything you have sent
• Mentions - each time somebody has mentioned your @username
• Pending tweets - tweets you have scheduled to send at a later date

How to add a stream

1. First, select the social media tab you want to add a stream for.

2. Click the Add Stream button just under the tab row.

3. From the Add Stream popup, select the social network you want to update, profile, and then the type of stream you want to add.

4. Check to see if the stream is correctly added to your social network's tab. After a stream is added you can drag and reorder the columns.
