Over the past months we have been doing a few search campaigns and feel it's time to ramp up these efforts. To do this we're going to partner up with either Yodel or WebVisible on local campaigns. Both have solid small business experience and data that suggests we can get good ROI on IT services campaigns. At this point I'm trying to both get us the best deal as well as the right partnership to deliver results. I'm in the final selection stages and will make a decision in the next week or two.
While over time I believe we'll develop the internal capability to do this at Pronto however at this point it makes a lot of sense to leverage the extensive experience and tool sets these vendors have. As we make the final selection and have all the details I'll send that along but at this point I'm trying to gauge your interest in participating.

What Pronto will provide
If you are interested I'd appreciate knowing, it's not a commitment at this point, I'm just trying to get an idea of how many campaigns we'd be managing so we get the resources in place.

Hi Derek,
I'm intrerested in knowing if you had good feedback and how this initiative is progressing.

Hi Rick - and everyone,
I’ll have a more complete plan soon but here’s a quick update.
One of my working assumptions was that we might be better off to start working with one or two of the small business, local search marketing companies such as ReachLocal, Yodel or Webvisible. I’ve talked to all three and quite a bit to Yodel and Webvisible. For a number of reasons I’ve come to the conclusion they aren’t the best fit to deliver on what we both need.
We’ve done some limited pay-per-click programs and one learning from that is we could some experience – it’s quite complex and we’d like to accelerate the learning curve. That was the logic with the agencies. What I’m doing now is interviewing a number of experienced SEM (search engine marketing) professionals to find someone who wants to partner up with us and get committed to making this work. I’ve got a short list and we’re getting close to being ready to roll this out – we don’t want to launch during the holidays so our target is mid-January.
Stay tuned and I’ll have a more detailed update next week.
Derek
