How We Track Conversions & Website Traffic
Updated over 3 months ago

Understanding how visitors interact with your website is crucial for optimizing your marketing efforts and improving your ROI. Here we'll explain what tools we use that help us analysis the leads your website gets.

HOW WE ARE SET UP

This is our preferred setup that we use consistently because we are thoroughly familiar with its functionality and have optimized it to achieve results. We believe it is the best option, providing reliable data and insights that help us drive successful outcomes for our clients.

1. WhatConverts

We track all form submissions and call leads using a tool called WhatConverts, which is designed specifically for lead tracking for marketing agencies.

WhatConverts is a comprehensive marketing attribution and call-tracking software designed to help businesses understand the effectiveness of their marketing efforts. It offers several benefits, making it a valuable tool for marketers and business owners looking to optimize their advertising strategies. Here are some of the key benefits of using WhatConverts:

  • Detailed Reporting

  • User-Friendly Dashboard

  • Comprehensive Attribution

  • Call Form & Tracking

  • Lead Management

WhatConverts comes free with our SEO and Paid Ads services, but if you're not currently subscribed, you can also sign up to our Call Tracking service to receive this service.

2. Agency Analytics

AgencyAnalytics is a powerful reporting platform tailored for digital marketing agencies, offering a comprehensive suite of tools to streamline the process of tracking, analyzing, and reporting on various marketing campaigns.

By integrating with numerous third-party platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, and WhatConverts, AgencyAnalytics provides a centralized hub where agencies can monitor all their clients’ marketing performance metrics in real-time. All data from WhatConverts, Google Analytics, and Google Ads appears in the Agency Analytics dashboard and reports.

WhatConverts comes free with our SEO and Paid Ads services, but if you're not currently subscribed, you can also sign up, you can signup directly with the Agency Analytics and we'd be happy to help get you set up.

3. Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager

The primary use for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is to get information into Agency Analytics. The setup is very simple as all lead data is coming from WhatConverts.

ALTERNATIVE TRACKING SETUPS

While we strongly encourage the use of our established setup for tracking traffic and conversions—given its proven effectiveness with all our clients—we recognize that there may be other methods that better suit your preferences or specific needs.

1. Supported Methods

We will be able to help you with simple setups, like the below, at no additional cost:

  • Basic Google Analytics setup

  • Google Search Console setup

  • Thank you page conversions

  • Outbound click tracking

  • Button phone call click tracking via Google Tag Manager

2. Third-Party Apps

We support embedding third-party form apps such as Pipedrive, but we do not support custom integrations if it's not natively supported by WhatConcerts. If you have another app that you would like to use, we recommend checking for a Zapier integration.

3. Advanced Tracking / Paid Projects

More advanced tracking requirements might require that you sign up for a paid project, as they tend to take additional time, research, and expertise. Some examples of tracking setups that would require to become a paid project are:

  • Enhanced E-commerce Tracking in Google Analytics

  • Custom Event Tracking and Reporting

  • Multi-Channel Funnel and Attribution Setup

For any questions or to get started with a paid project, please contact us. We're here to help you make the most out of your website analytics!
